PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The newly constructed North Aurora Public Works facility in Illinois prioritized long-term durability and energy efficiency, beginning with the roofing system. To help achieve these performance goals, 13,000 sq.ft. of BlockShield SA Plus from VaproShield was selected as the roofing air and vapor barrier.

What sets this installation apart is, BlockShield SA Plus was adhered directly to the metal roof deck, eliminating the need for additional substrates or primers. This unique application simplifies installation while providing a continuous air barrier layer critical for energy conservation and indoor comfort.

Designed for jobsite resilience, BlockShield SA Plus offers up to 6 months of UV resistance, giving construction teams greater flexibility during unpredictable build schedules. Its lightweight, easy-to-handle rolls and primer-free application streamlines installation without sacrificing toughness or protection.
